
Carel Jaspers
Carel Jaspers is the director and shareholder of Q-Point, a consultancy firm specializing in quality management, food safety and value chain management. He has extensive expertise in international strategy development, business development and value chain collaboration. With many years of experience in fostering cooperation between the private sector and international educational institutions, Carel plays a key role in strengthening partnerships, an area that has become even more vital in today’s geopolitical landscape.
Carel studied at Wageningen University & Research, specializing in plant breeding and business administration. During his studies, he lived for nine months in the Philippines, where he worked for the International Rice Research Institute (IRRI). After completing his studies and military service, he spent ten years working for Flora Holland, followed by a position at DLV Advisory Group. In 2002, he founded Q-Point, which has since grown into an internationally operating consultancy firm.
Carel has extensive experience in leading complex international projects and managing capacity development programmes, with a particular focus on Africa. His work is aimed at strengthening value chains, professionalizing educational and research institutions, and supporting sustainable economic development in low- and middle-income countries.
