Tjallie Botden

Tjallie Botden-Scheltinga obtained a master degree Industrial Engineering and Management at University of Twente (2003) and focused during and outside her studies on the management of cultural differences.

After working for Arcadis BMB / Euroconsult as junior consultant, she joined Nuffic in 2005 as NFP Programme Officer for the Master and NFP-TMT programme. In 2010 she moved to Van Hall Larenstein University of Applied Sciences (VHL) to become policy officer internationalization. In this position, she advises VHL management, country coordinators and staff on all international issues like e.g. the internationalization strategy of the organization, scholarship programmes, international developments in higher education etc. In this function she is active in the agenda commission of the HIB platform of the “Vereniging Hogescholen” and the Borderless Network initiative of the Agricultural education sector.

From 2016 she became part-time country coordinator Indonesia next to her policy officer job, to develop strategic cooperation with Indonesian partner institutes on education and applied research, like for examples joint education, student and staff exchange, capacity building and living labs.
